 The Hong Kong Tourist Association (HKTA) is in a highly competitive environment and at the leading edge of implementing new technologies. Within the last year HKTA has launched an impressive Internet web site - (http://www.hkta.org), a CD-ROM for potential visitors, and digitised its extensive photographic library. With so much going on HKTA was concerned about integrating all of its activities and ensuring there was an overall framework in place. Infocentre, together with international management consultants Arthur D Little, were asked to conduct a review and make recommendations on future directions.

In Canada, a feasibility study for a Province on a potential Reservations Consortia - linking the existing 1-800 Call Centre, offering information services, to local reservations services. This involved comparison with other similar operations elsewhere in Canada.

In Ireland, together with with Arthur D. Little reviewing the performance of the Irish Tourist Board - Bord Failte - and, in particular, the Gulliver information and reservations systems. A second phase of this work involves finding outside partners for the further continuance of Gulliver.

In Poland, two EU Phare projects with the Polish government - commercial and investment studies on a National Computer Reservation Service.

In Switzerland, the design of an integrated destination marketing system, for the whole country.
