information, reservations and management4

At the heart of the infoRM system is a sophisticated product database and reservation module, with inbuilt links for electronic product distribution through the medium of the internet with traditional browser and message based XML interfaces.

Attached to both is a comprehensive marketing database, allowing for for pre and post sell monitoring of both direct client and travel agent activity. Database marketing facilities allow targeted and easy contact with potential and actual travellers.

The Information database caters for the full needs of a destination or organisation. It meets the requirements of travellers, suppliers and planners (eg a tour operator putting together a niche holiday package).

Other modules cover important areas such as Accounting, Client Documentation, Management Reporting and other office automation requirements. Interfaces to other systems such as Point of Sale and Information are also available.

Knowledge and information are distributed via fax, e-mail and direct input into other databases.

infoRM may be used by organisations of all sizes and differing types.

Tourist Boards

Tourist Boards are implementing Destination Marketing Systems, such as infoRM in order to meet the demands of travellers to their destinations. They combine information and reservations functionality enabling the potential traveller to easily and effectively identify, and book, those items that meet his requirements.

The core destination database provided by infoRM stores product data for administrative use, reservations and other marketing functions, as needed. The system enables tourist boards to measure their marketing cost-effectiveness by directly relating marketing activity to travellers' purchases.

infoRM has been designed to suit the needs of an organisation marketing a region or country, individual cities and resorts.

Hotel groups, Holiday Centres and Accommodation Bureaux

Those organisations which cater for a wide range of product types, often have difficulty finding a central reservation system that meets their needs.

infoRM is used by Europe's largest independent hotel chain. They need the power and flexibility that infoRM offers in its approach to inventory management, price and commission options.

Cruise Operators

The cruise version of infoRM has been implemented to suit both ship operators and general sales agents.

The system allows for the utmost flexibility of cabins and grading, pricing and itineraries, part cruises etc. Inventory may be held at grade and cabin levels allowing for flexibility in the selling process. It is possible to hold sub-allocations with or without specific cabin allotment and with their own prices.

Rail Companies

Separate modules allow for use of infoRM by Rail Companies.

This version allows for sale of packages, point to point tickets, passes and the like.

Specialist Tour Operators

infoRM is suited to those tour operators selling "unpackaged" vacations, probably accommodation based, with travel and other services added on.

It is also suited to activity specialists such as ski operators.

Software Technology

infoRM has been developed using the latest techniques in software development. The application runs in a client-server environment, usually with PCs on users desks in a Windows environment, enabling other applications to be run concurrently. The development language runs in an operating system, database and user-interface independent environment.
