Herbal Skateboards is a local Skateboarding Brand with large social media presence.
Web Design
At the beginning of 2010 we were approached by Herbal Skateboards, a local skateboard brand.
They wanted their existing site re-designed, together with a robust backend.
Herbal Skateboards was expanding and needed a website which would grow with
the business.
Content Management
After initial talks with Herbal Skateboards, it was decided to keep the
basic structure of the original design, but move the site onto a new
platform. The platform chosen was Wordpress, which suited the requirements
of Herbal Skateboards perfectly. They specifically wanted a Blog for Videos,
Photos and Article entry. Herbal Skateboards is very Social Media
orientated, so it was key to incorporate third party websites like Facebook,
YouTube and Flickr. Wordpress was a perfect fit.
Ecommerce
Since the initial launch of the site back in March, we have now launched a fully functional Ecommerce Online Store using specific Wordpress Plug-in's. The store function allows Herbal to control all elements; inventory, prices, descriptions, delivery, confirmation emails and receipt of payment.
Wordpress has allowed Herbal Skateboards to control all online functions
from one location.
Email Marketing
Email Marketing is a very powerful tool that looked to be the right step for Herbal
Skateboards to take when the online store was setup. It allows them to email a monthly mailshot, packed with their latest updates, special offers and other brand News. When setup, the Email Marketing Management is handed over to Herbal, giving them complete control. This means they can choose who to send to, when they send it and most importantly, track the results online after
the mailshot has been sent.
